Climate Health Now offers a community and more; we create opportunities for health professionals to learn, connect, and take meaningful action together. Through our three pillars of climate and health education, advocacy for equitable climate solutions, and efforts to advance more sustainable healthcare we support our members with practical ways to engage. Here, your expertise and lived experience can help strengthen collective action, turning concern and anxiety into action for a livable future!
We organize the health community because:
Climate Change is a public health crisis and health risk multiplier. The U.S. healthcare sector contributes ~8.5 of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, playing a role in worsening health outcomes with increased risk for vulnerable groups and frontline communities. At the same time, health community members are routinely rated as the most trusted messengers and are uniquely equipped to speak out about the connection between climate and health.
